International Civil Aviation Day

Over the weekend on December 7th, it was is International Civil Aviation Day – a day to bring awareness to “generate and reinforce worldwide awareness of the importance of international civil aviation to the social and economic development” of countries and the aviation industry. The theme for this year is “Safe skies. Sustainable future: Together for the next 80 years.”

This theme marks the 80th anniversary of the signing of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) Chicago Convention that acts as the foundation for civil aviation standards across the world. On this day we would like to highlight all of the students that we have had the pleasure of training throughout the years.

We believe in a “Safety First” approach to all that Stinson does – whether it is working for a client on their project goals, helping to fight forest fires, responding to  emergencies or teaching a new generation of RPAS pilots. Instilling a sense of safety and responsibility in new RPAS pilots helps to ensure that unmanned aircraft can coexist with manned aircraft in the future.
